appy, I've used Cut Heal in the past, and it worked fine. But there is no comparing it to Vetricyn. Our weanling got a huge gash on her chest trying to run thru a door to her dam. Debated on getting a vet, and stitches - it was bad! We sprayed the wound for 3-5 days, 2X a day. . .and now, a week later, the hair is growing back in. I don't think there will even be a permanent scar. Amazing! (PB, using Jake's 'puter)

I just watched RFD tv tonight and they had an hour show with the vet. Dr. Brad Gordan and also with Clinton Anderson. They are firm believers in these products and this show does not seem to be advertising, just facts. Clinton has some really good stories about how he used it and saw the wonders of it completely healing his horses. It seems to be good on horses eyes as well as foundered horses. It was a very interesting show and I am going to purchase a bottle for the rain rot problem that keeps occurring on my horse. Sounds like it would be a good idea to have a bottle of the microcyn on hand as well.

I just got the veterinary strength version of the product. Used it on my labrador who had a staph inf. that I have been treating with antibiotics. Although the staph was already almost gone this did seem to clear the few lesions left overnight. I also used it to wipe her normally moist, waxy ears out and they have been odor less and clean for a few days now! It is not labeled to actually put in the ears, so I only wiped them out. Hopefully I won't need it on the horses anytime soon. rsmoody

One of my boarder's horses is prone to rain scald. She got a few patches, we applied the product, and it disappeared almost overnight. Good stuff! PB

Yes, I ordered the Microcyn hydrogel after seeing how well the Vetrocyn worked. Wouldn't be without these products! Autumn's wound is completely healed. . .! PB

I don't know any specifics on composition, but the equivalent product specifically manufactured for human use is Microcyn. I believe it is only available for purchase online. Cost is the same although there are a few variants available for humans (including a hydrogel).

I've had an irritated skin tag under where my. . .er. . .'puppy holders' strap goes in the back. Got to have it removed eventually, but till then I had Jake spray it with Vetericyn just to see what would happen. That, and a bandage to cover, and today it's almost totally back to normal. And the spray didn't hurt a thing - though it wasn't an open wound/sore. PB

I've had good luck with this product, as well. Healing is amazingly fast. It did seem to cause some discomfort for my dog when applied to his 'hot spots' and my gelding said it stung like crazy when I sprayed it on an open cut injury to his coronet.....but it healed within just a day or two with no further medicating. tu1tu1

yep, I have seen it advertised as well. But have not had the chance to purchase it nor has the need risen. Thanks for letting us know that it is a good as they say. It is hard for me to buy something just to see if it is as good as they say. Glad to know it is and will put it on my list to get as well.

Our latest foal, Autumn Sunrise, was stepped on my her mama when just an hour or so old. It opened a gash on her outside right cannon that has been very resistant to healing. In fact, in spite of a special type of bandage from Cornell University and diligent care, the skin around the wound started to deteriorate, and the tissue under the skin looked inflamed and purple. Other small holes developed in the skin around the primary wound - and I was getting frantic. Nothing we did - Epsom soaks, regular cleansing, special wraps, antibiotics - was doing a bit of good. Last week I heard about a product called Vetericyn that is supposed to be a 'Miracle' drug for all kinds of problems. It is 'super charged 'water that has had its molecular structure altered. It kills 99.999% of single cell organisms - bacteria, fungi, viral - on contact, while doing no harm to larger, more complex organisms like animals and humans. The product also super-oxegenates the area where it is applied, which speeds healing. Vetericyn is safe enough to be used in eyes, mucous membranes, etc. In fact, you can drink it with no ill effects! (I saw it advertised on RFD-TV, and did some internet research to learn all this.) I ordered a bottle of Vetericyn last Friday, and started using it on Monday morning. Folks, that nasty open sore was fully 50% better by Tuesday morning! By the end of the day Tuesday, the open spots had all closed up and scabbed over. All signs of inflammation/infection had disappeared. The foal was full of p*ss and vinegar! Today Autumn is nearly completely healed. The swelling around the wound site has completely disappeared, and the previously open sore(s) are barely visible. Her leg looks as right as rain! I'd have never thought this was possible if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. What a blessing this has been, as I had been fearful of infection going into her joint, and having to decide whether to treat that (mucho $$$, and poor prognosis), or have her euthanized. I finally feel that I can be confident that little Autumn Sunrise will be part of our family for a very long time. Bravo to the folks who came up with this product - I would never be without it (for my animals as well as for myself) ever again. It disinfects wounds and surgical sites, can be used on rain rot, ringworm, hot spots, burns, scratches, etc. You can use it as an eye wash - it's even effective for strangles. It can be sprayed on blankets, cinches, tack, etc. to prevent spreading germs or viruses from horse to horse. Like I said, I decided to just give it a try out of desperation - and it far exceeded my expectations. Thought I'd pass on the good word about this amazing product! (I've already convinced Bobby Beech to carry it via NBS.) PB
