Pros in the world of the TWHs would make you believe that things are "so much better" now; things aren't "nearly as bad as they used to be", etc. etc.... The one thing I hope everybody walks away with from the above links: More "sophisticated methods" + more expensive equipment + reduced funding = DISASTER! And let's not forget that soring doesn't just happen to the "big lick" horses; these "training" methods have become quite popular for the flat shod horses as well.
