@ Brenda:

You haven't met Sunny, ;)

The slightest thing changed to her tack or bit. And she pitches such a fit!  She's got her dady's personality.

I've got her in the IMUS with the copper roller, she gets so impatient she GRABS
the bit because she loves it so much.  But I tried one with the SS roller and she
gleared at me. Offer any other bit that's just SS and she clamps her mouth. I
know this little darling is an spoild diva, but she's the sweetest thing on four legs
other wise. And LOVES adventuring.

I haven't seen any difference. Cinnamon seems to like the copper more than the SS but goes well in either one.

It's in the works. . .nothing goes as quickly as I would like!

Meantime, I haven't seen one horse respond differently to the SS roller.

I won't swear to it, but I believe Brenda mentioned something about some plans, in the works, on the bits. Maybe we should ask?

Do you know, is there any possibility of offering the "copper" roller as an option
in the future on the ICB? My pony loves copper but gets fussy if I just go straight
steel on her.

Ahhhhh,.. Ok.  I was just wondering.  My boy just loves the cooper roller,..AND the bit.  I had missed seeing the newsletter and just wondered.

Thanks.  :D

I find my girls love them both. I bought 2 of the new ones and a friend that no longer rides gave me 1 she had which was an older one with the copper roller. For them it has the same effect. You just can't beat these bites, and I tried many before we got them.

Yes, there are still copper inlays on the bottom of the mouthpiece. The reason for the change is that horses generally do love the copper roller - and some of them delight in playing and chewing on the roller. While this doesn't hurt anything, it seems to drive some riders nuts. So we changed the design.

PB put out a newsletter some time ago explaining the changes to the bit. I don't recall all the specifics and I no longer have the newsletter. In short: the roller is no longer copper but still has copper bushings.

I'm not sure if there is copper inlays in the mouth piece or not. Seems she did mention about leaving some copper in the mouth but I can't remember. ::)

I'm still using my old bit but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the new one should I ever need another.

I was looking at the ICB on National Bridle and I noticed that the training bit still has the copper roller but the shanked comfort bit doesn't anymore.  I was wondering if this is a temporary design change or a permanent one.  My horse really seems to like the copper roller on the one I bought way back when.

Oops,...I guess I should have posted this under the ICB section instead of the training bit section.  But you guys will know what I mean.  ::)
