Thank you so much for sharing this link. I hope many will go to view this memorial.

This memorial video was a powerful reminder of the tremendous grief experienced, not just on that one day, but for a very, very long time. Many of the families of those who died or were injured will never know relief from that grief. Mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters. . .friends. The losses were so profound.

While we all must move on, may God forbid that we ever forget the evil that attempted to overtake our nation that day, nor the many heroes who prevented that from happening. This includes not only those brave rescue workers, but the politicians who stood up to help us regain our equilibrium, then shook a fist in the face of the enemy to say, "You will not prevail!" These same men and women have, almost miraculously, managed to keep these vicious dogs at bay ever since.

May we never take our hard purchased freedom for granted, nor curse those who work tirelessly, and often thanklessly, to keep it this way.

God bless us all - especially those who still personally suffer from the loss of a loved one who died on 9/11.

Brenda

My husbands family lives in NY. My brother and sister-in-law both work at #1 Police Plaza right across the street. Had they been working that day, they both would have died. All of my step children lived in Ny at the time and 1 only lived 14 blocks away. She said you could hear the sounds for miles and feel the trembling of the ground on the 14th floor of her apartment. The memorial at the Pentagon is beautiful, very peaceful. Seems apropriate. We all talk on the phone on this date no matter what.

My boss came into work and announced to me what he was hearing on the radio. What!? Come on, what's the punch line? No punch line. What do we do? Do we send everyone home?

We tuned in the little black & white TV we had there and watched in disbelief. Sickened, Shocked, standing watching with our hands over our mouths. Calling loved ones . .  Did you hear? Are you OK? I love you. (I think about those who never saw their loved ones again)

We were glued to the news and the work of the day was stopped and nothing else mattered. A black uncomfortable hole . . . Time.

I waited til late this evening to watch the link posted here. "Time"  . . . hasn't been enough of it yet for healing even the anger.

No. We haven't forgotten 9-11 even if we must move on (we won't get over). This country took a stand against terrorism after that attack and it is a stand that I think we should never walk away from. "We shall not falter, we shall not fail."

Let nothing purchase the memory of the lives lost on that day.

Oil cannot buy it, fear cannot wipe it away. Thank you for offering this memorial for us today.

Whatta

That memorial made it feel like it happened yesterday.  I hate to think that people have forgotten.  Especially since most believe it will happen again.

I had landed at Boston's airport 15 minutes before the first plane hit. My husband, who didnt know my flight number, thought i was on one of the planes, and cried when i reached him by phone. I was in a meeting all day and saw no coverage on the attack until that evening. When I saw a newscast of the towers falling i thought I would throw up. My group rented a car so we could return to DC the next day, and as we crossed into New York, could see the plumes of dust in the distance...

It is hard to believe it has been 7 years. People say they have not forgotten but many live like they have. God bless all.

Today is the 7th anniversary of an event that forever changed the way our world turned. This is a video i received in the days following 9-11; some of the politics may have changed over time, but the loss we suffered has not.
