 BlackJack was re-hospitalized on Tuesday because he was having trouble breathing.
This time they found tumors in his chest and suspect he has them in his abdomen as well.
They drained several gallons of fluid off his chest and he is home now, but only has a
few weeks left, at best. Doesn't seem possible that our best trail buddy will be gone soon.

 Update on BlackJack--the culture grew Strep zooepidemicus, which is a bacteria commonly found in the respiratory tract. How it ended up in his abdomen as peritonitis is a mystery. He is back home now with a PICC line in for long term antibiotic administration. He is very happy to be home and is grazing well right now. His prognosis is still guarded due to potential complications from the peritonitis, so please keep those prayers coming.---Mary Ellen

 BlackJack was hospitalized on Thursday with severe peritonitis. The two most likely causes are an infection or intestinal cancer. As of yesterday afternoon he was stable, but it will probably be another day or two before all of his test results are final and we will know whether or not he will respond to treatment.
The prayer power of this group is undeniable; BJ could sure use your help right now.
