We use the Imus pads under our 4 Beat saddles, too, all the time.  They look great, stay put and we love them.  They aren't real thick, but may be a touch more than 1/2", but they compress a little, so end up being only about 1/2" is my guess.

I have 2 Imus saddle pads and use them with my Imus saddles all the time.  They're especially useful for round backed horses with no withers!  But, I use them on all of my horses.  They help hold he saddle in place.  And, they are cut to match the shape of the saddle so there's not a lot of extra bulk to worry about.  I think Brenda puts a lot of thought into her products so that they are exactly what you want and need as a consumer.

My saddle is not close by either to check the thickness,  but I can only use a thin, no more that 1/2" under my saddle.  I had a 2007 4Beat made by Circle Y and I could use the Imus tacky pad under it only because it was a wide saddle.  But my new CCI  standard tree saddle has pretty thick padding that isn't worn down any.  MY favorite pad is just a one layer wool type blanket and the other is a thinner fleece pad.

If you don't get tha answer from national bridle, then call or PM Jake. I have one outside but can't get out there to measure it for you (ice on the ground). My memory says it's 5/8"  - 3/4".

I don't have one myself, but if you're talking about the one with the 'tacky' type underside, I think they are a little bit on the thicker side of things. Personally, I like a 100% wool blanket, but they can get heavy when they soak up all the sweat in warmer weather & then they need cleaned once in a while. My horses don't seem to mind though.

I have two Imus 4-beat saddles, but not pads.  I am considering getting my first one, but when I purchased the saddles, the information I had said that you only need a light pad under the saddle because it is already so well padded.  I personally don't like a pad that is over 1/2" and can't seem to find the dimensions of the Imus saddle pad that include the thickness. How thick is it?
