OK, so I've had hopes of getting Bailey off his curb bit and onto a snaffle. he flipped out about the Happy Mouth snaffle I tried on him, so I've been happily using the ICB on him since August. Recently, I've moved to a barn with a ring and have just tried switching the reins to the snaffle ring on the bit and working him and he's done great! I think it improved his gaiting since I was able to communicate better that I wanted him properly round and supple. I think he needs someone to take the step back and establish all the snaffle stuff before he ges back to the curb. Anyways, I have reservations about just going to the snaffle after I had issues with him before on it, but I just think he LOVES the Imus bit mouthpiece so much. It felt today like he was really accepting and responding to the snaffle... Would you say just buy the ICTB? I eventualy would love to always be able to ride him on the snaffle rather than the curb, I want to get into doing some basic gaited dressage.. I know the prices are supposed to go up after the new year, so now would be the time to get it. Yea, I know I'm like the only person wanting to take their TWH OFF a curb... but I watched some of these TWHs doing gaited dressage and it just looks like so much fun!
