Tina, just take it easy on yourself. Don't overdo it or you will reinjure what's healed. Don't know your financial situation, but sometimes it's just better to hire it done. Maybe you could even swap out some work done for you now in trade for lessons, hoof trims or whatever further down the road when you are stronger.

I never did get the strength in my arm back after rotator cuff surgery even after doing physical therapy and a hard workout class. Doctor's orders were to never left more than 50 lbs. over my shoulder again or I could undo what he did as my cuff is laced together (as if I could lift that much over my shoulder anyway, but he seems to think I used to do that). You may need to scale way back on what you can do even after you've healed up just to prevent more injury.
