  Yes, riding @ Biltmore is usually very expensive.. you must buy a day pass (for about $60.. the usual cost of seeing the house and gardens) plus a riding fee even if you bring your own horse.  For this Hunter Pace event, the cost is only $40 (a tad bit more than the usual Hunter Pace participation fee, incl lunch) and no day pass is required!  Truthfully, if it were less expensive, we'd go much more often...  :?
