You may be talking about Reelfoot Lake. I am answering your post without googling l1. I am tired and cannot think of the fault's name that runs through parts of West TN. That quake caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards and create the lake. It was in the late 1800's I think. b1. But no, I have never lived in Cali. I have moved around a lot in TN within a 50 mile radius. LOL. The earthquakes here in M'boro were just mentioned briefly on the news. They said no known faults ran through here  . They were small. The first one I never felt. The second one woke me up. I thought the wind had gotten up and rattled the windows. I just went back to sleep when I didn't hear it anymore. Found out next morning it was an earthquake.
