Tell them they should look into consulting with an Holistic or Homepathic Doctor, there are treatments out there that are *Very* effective against cancer including multible different herbs that goes beyond "traditional" medicine and has had great effects where Traditional has stopped working. Also there are great strides that have been made in "Stem Cell" therapy for Cancer patients your friend and family might consider looking into.

My friend michelle had female organ cancer surgery and had a very very rough time with it  it was far more envolved than they suspepted she had everything removed everything and she was still sleeping a day . I called her mother whom im also friends with and she said she isnt doing so hot please pray for my friend and her family. I just want them all to be ok. Ive kn own michelle for 7 plus years now
