Hey all my dear friends...Once again I prevail upon you for prayers. Apparently my Mom has quite a lot of pull up there in Heaven and my Dad joined her there last Thursday (Jan 1oth). Yes it has only been 6 weeks since she passed away, and it's hard to come to terms that both my parents are now gone. I don't even know what to say............

Rain, Your Faith is an awesome thing to see. Your Faith lifts my spirit.

I can just see your Mom now at that supper table. "LORD, pass the cornbread and pass the pea's, please".

If we could design a perfect ending, it would include being with the ones we love to say "bon voyage" as we step on the path that takes us Home.  We are not of this world and we long to be with our brother, our Lord.

Donna, as tough a time as you went through watching your Mom prepare to go Home, the true peace that you feel and have conveyed to us is a blessing.  I'm praising our Lord for answered prayers in this time and will pray for continued blessings of peace and comfort for you and your family.  With Our Lord's Love, Susan

So sorry to hear of this sad news Donna, may you find peace, tranquility and solace and joy in your memories.

Sherri

FROM A MOTHER WHO HAS PASSED

Now that I am gone,
remember me with smiles and laughter.
And if you need to cry,
cry with your brother or sister
who walks in grief beside you.
And when you need me,
put your arms around anyone
and give to them what you need to give to me.
There are so many who need so much.
I want to leave you something
something much better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known
or helped in some special way.
Let me live in your heart
as well as in your mind.
You can love me most
by letting your love reach out to our loved ones,
by embracing them and living in their love.
Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love,
give me away as best you can.

It seems Donna, that you and your mom both got what you needed in that late night visiting.  You sound so very peaceful.  I do see God's hand, because the parting was so perfectly scripted.  I know you will have your times of missing her intently, especially with the holidays approaching.  But I believe you will be able to hold the many happy memories of your mom's life easier, because of this special gifted time.

Welcome back.  We will continue to keep your dad lifted up.  Please let us all know how he is doing with his health and adjusting to life "alone".

My Heart goes out to you and your family.. You are in our daily prayers Hospice is a wonderful group - it is not just nursing to them , they become part of your family in their hearts and give their all. speaking from my experience... I cannot add anything more than what has been already said. My father passed of Colon Cancer years ago.. the Hospice team we had was the best at making dad comfortable and being there at times just to hold his hand .. God be with Your Family at this time. Riding, prayers will continue for you and your family as you go through this time of transition.  I am glad that your mom's passing was and easy one for her.  And I am glad to hear that you were able to spend so much time with her.  Hugs and prayers to you

I'm glad your prayers were answered.  I know this all must be really hard.  I hope your father's bio brings good news.  Keep on keeping your head up.

I made it home late Sunday night. Mom was awake and her mind was pretty clear. I spent the night with her, she was up and down a lot. At 2 am we were in the kitchen eating eggs and toast. Well, at least I cooked them for her, she really only took a bite or two. The next morning, Mom was in a great deal of pain, more so than she had ever expressed before. The hospice nurse came and helped to give her an adequate amount of morphine to ease her pain and help her breathing. Mom went to sleep about 1:30 Monday afternoon and never woke up again. She went to be with God Tuesday night at about 10 pm. I was with her........

God is so good. He really does answer prayers, sometimes right away and sometimes in His time. This time He answered my request right away, as I asked to be able to see Mom and then I asked for His Mercy to be shown to her. I got both requests and I am so thankful.

I know that all of you will be very sorry to hear about this, but please know that I am well aware of where my Mom is dining tonight and she is so happy to be reunited with her family and friends that have gone on before her. It is a very comforting thing to know that she is with her Mom and Dad and many others that she took care of in their final days.

My dad had to cancel his appointment for his biopsy as Mom died the evening before his appointment, so I will keep anyone that wants to know up to date on his status.

Thank all of you for your support and outpouring of love and faith. It's really meant a lot. I hope some day I will be able to do something in return that means as much.

Just wanted to let you know that my thoughts are with you as you make that long journey today.  I'm sure you're having a mixture of anxiety and relief about being on your way.  I'm so glad that your mom is waiting for you.  I'm praying for the stillness of the Holy Spirit to enter your body and for peaceful hearts for your whole family.  Make good memories ;)  and add my arms to Liz's hug.
