Steph at 2 weeks and me at 22 years, ( Don't I wishl1)

My Mother and Father were so proud of Steph taking after their coloring . They took Steph on her 1st birthday and got her a pair of cowgirl boots and Levi Jeans and of course a western shirt.

This is a picture of Bree and Steph taken @ 29 years ago. Bree is my oldest daughter and Steph my middle daughter. Steph and Sienna look a like at this age, although Steph is 2 months old in this picture.

The picture of a picture looks good on my puter, but  it doesn't show up clear here, Liz or Aurora, can you fix it?? Thanks!

Good to hear from you Wind and great news everyone is doing fine! We got rain also Thursday night and probably wind too but I slept through it all! One of these days I am afraid I might wake up naked in a tree! My deep sleep habit does worry me . Seriously, we are blessed to get rain this part of town when it seems no one else does but on the flip side we also get bad storms when no one else does. As bad as this year's drought is, the strange thing is last year the pasture where my horse is (between M'boro & Shelbyville) looked way more brown than this year. And I too hope our sisters and brothers where the rain has been too abundant are not experiencing any problems.

Aurora,@ a year old Steph started lighting up. I need to get my scanner running so I can scan a picture of Steph as a baby. I'll try to take a picture of a picture of her and me,and post it . I'm 5/8 Native American and 3/8 Irish. It still amazes me how dark she was with me being so fair. My other 2 daughters are fair, although Steph did keep a darker complexion. I hope Sienna stays dark but no matter its only color.

My Fathers, Irish Mother marked me my mother always said, she begged my mother to have a blonde haired blue eyed granddaughter when she was carrying me, and so I am or was, it would be mostly gray now, if not for Nice -n- Easyl1.

McKTX, I have been concerned about you folks down there in Texas, with all the rain you have been getting, flooding and such. How have the pasture been holding up, has the grass rotted?

Oh I was hoping you guys would get some of that rain.  Poor tree, looks like it gave up the fight during the summer anyway.

Well after over a year in the exceptional drought here in N. texas last year we have had the highest rain totals in record keeping, over 45" this year!  Lakes are still at the conservation level after summer!

On the plus side I think it drove home the need to conserve water to the cities and folks around here!  The lakes don't always fill up every year!  With record number of new houses and folks moving to the area,  they just assumed water would never be an issue!!  (Ooops sorry got on the soap box, getting off now)

Looking forward to new pics, they change so fast, little ones do.  Digital is wonderful, wish I had digital cameras when my daughter was new!

Carol

Yes we got quite a bit of rain, and LOTS of wind!!  One of the trees in my front yard fell over.

Thanks everyone!

Steph has the camera and is trying to fill it upl1 as soon as she gives it to me to download I will post more pictures. I'll ask Steph to put a rush on it;). Jbear,Steph and Sienna are on their way to Sienna' second Dr. visit as I type, all is well, just a check up.

an update on us....Its been so busy @ here, out of town company is gone now, maybe we can get back to the MB, we have missed all of you, and have tried to keep up on the board and welcome the new member's.

Jbear has been hauling hay from another state, trying to help others here in TN get their hay for the winter. I have been trying to hold the farm together and help out with Sienna(< Steph has to twist my arm:)).

We received much need rain yesterday, last night and in the wee hours of the morning today. Joyrider and Aurora did you get the rain too? I know its been dry for my fellow Teenesseeans(sp?) also.

This monday's Vet Check showed that Kat is not expecting...... Steph is very very happy, now she and Kat can show next spring. We won't breed a mare in late fall or winter. Maybe late next spring, we'll try again.

Hopefully updated pictures coming soon. Aurora, remember me telling you Steph's coloring after my Father and Mother, and her lighting up as she got older as I did ? Sienna look just like Steph when she was born my little papoose.
