Say prayers for a friend of mine that lost 2 2year olds in 1 week. Her gelding blaze, slipped on some ice in the pasture and slid under the wire fence, when he got up his leg got tangled and by the time they found him his leg was in very bad shape, and her other was a spotted tw filly. She would not get up in her stall the other morning and they ran her over to Cornell Vet school, her neurological symtoms got progressively worse and had to put her down this morning. I am not sure I could take this happening once but twice in one week is crazy- and of couse she is devastated. We will not know exactly what happened to the filly until the autopsy reports come back supposedly was either a virus or an injury.
