Yes, I would be interested. He's got "Touch It" down pat, but then what...?

YES YES YES.  I'd love it because I've already started with "touch it" with my whole herd and have seen astounding progress but don't know how to progress to the next stage.

Thanks, Tara, for offering to take the time to do this.  We know how much you already have on your plate, but you have a real gift of teaching and communicating how you go about it.  And, there are still lots of us out here that need a "Recipe" card method of doing things.  Thanks again, Susan

That would be great. I can hardly wait to read about your progression with the new horse. I'd love to learn more about clicker/target training.

Go for it.  I did some basic clicker training with my two.  Mainly because when I got my gelding, he was aggressive at feeding time so much he would knock the feed container out of my hand trying to get to the feed (he was 100 pounds underweight when I got him).

I would love to learn how you are starting out a horse and watch you progress with him.

Yes, definitely !!!  Will the training be any different on a young horse than it would for an older one?

Several folks on this MB have professed an interest about target/clicker training and the stories I've posted about Melody, my TWH mare who is target trained to retrieve, bow, rear and touch objects on command.

I have a new TWH colt arriving this week whom I've decided I would target train.  If enough folks really want to read and learn about what it is like to target train a horse in moment by moment play over time, I'm game to write it up and post it.

Let me know.
