Well said, whattarack and you too, Hurleycane. I don't ever intend to or want to forget that day. This is a 6-panel scrapbook layout I did about it last year. I displayed it in the county fair this year under the title, 'Remember'. Attachment: 911 Remember.jpg (Downloaded 178 times)

My God Whatta you have so well described what we all felt ... Do you remember the calls? ... Are you OK? ... Did you hear? ... Did you See? .... Do you remember the televisions that never turned off? The horror of those celebrating in the streets ... The silence of no planes in the air??... The bravery ... The courage... The sorrow... How could we forget...

I was driving to work when I heard the news. At first I was just in shock, then disbelief, then the tears started flowing. When I got to work, no one knew. I told them to turn the radio on! We just all stood around the radio, listening, as the second plane crashed into the trade center. We just stood there crying, not knowing what to do. It was like time stood still. Few minutes later we had to get back to work and take care of clients. But it wasnt long till we had gathered around the radio again listening as the buildings started coming down, with all those people still in them. We were just stunned. It was a very aweful day indeed

As the anniversary approaches, my heart weighs heavy. Sept. 11th - the day in my life that I most remember feeling like an American. Labeled and targeted. It felt awful and good and different. I will remember that day forever. That day when I realized that the world is small and shared - the evil that seemed so far away was here. That day is the only day of my life that I felt unreleasable hate and anger. And I do still hold on to that feeling toward those who hate us. I choose to keep it and I claim it as my own, not politics, my own. I will not try to bring myself to understand their reasons. I will not listen to their cause. That day, I found a place in me that compassion cannot reach or be reached. I could write on forever under this topic addressing just my feelings alone. I'll remember those families broken. I'll remember the innocent price paid and those who continue to sacrifice today. I'll remember. I know you will, too.
