Thank you Karen, for posting that for me. I wish I wasn't such a computer cripple...

Spotd, the screen name came by because we were doing, and still do a few, guided bird hunts with our dogs (German Shorthaired Pointers). We had a local fellow come out with his young son a couple of times, the boy was around 11-12 years old. I ran into them at the farmer's coop one day, and after exchanging pleasantries with the dad, they turned and walked away. I heard the young man ask his father "Dad, was that the quail lady?" I thought that was kind of cool, since I am usually known as the Dog Lady. So I adopted the name from that.'

That said, the dog in the picture, Jimmy, is not a GSP. He is most likely a Lab/Pit Bull mix, and he is a Very Good Boy. A bit simple-minded, but a Good Boy never-the-less. I picked him up off the road a few years ago, someone had dumped him in a cow field and he hung out there for a couple of weeks and wouldn't let anyone get close to him. I finally made friends with him via a loaf of bread. Once he got to the house, he installed himself as our yard dog. He's friendly and good with all the other dogs that come here to train.  I say I'm going to get him a Wal-Mart vest, as he is the official greeter!

Maybe someday I'll figure out how to post pictures, and y'all can see that my Paso and me look just alike- we are both gray, short-legged, and dumpy!

Whatta, I just love this picture of Holden & Rusty!

I got to thinking about posing alike.  It isn't always the horses mimicking us, according to mine and Jo's picture,  we just say cheese and that is what turns up naturally!

Maybe so, but it does look photoshopped. It is so easy to manipulate that stuff that I'd be a doubting Thomas until I saw him on Animal Planet or in person.:t2 :

When looking at his size and the neck measurement you quoted, I would think he'd be 500 to 600 pounds in reality. I dunno...

That is one humongeous dog in the first picture...oh my, what breed would that be?  To meet him in a dark ally would make me pass out!

This thread is funny...have to think about this and see what pics we might have...

Love the pictures, they made me laugh. Never thought about this before, at least not with horses. Do think some pets, look and act like there humans.

I don't have many pics of me with the horses, and so cannot to that fact. But I can see how they would, especially that special horse that is really bonded to their rider.

Funny Lynne!  I don't think either one of us was a happy camper that day.  Must have been hot or husband was rushing the picture thing.
