The ride n tie is the best. My husband and I both use one. However I was always taught never to tie your horse by / with the bit in his mouth. I also see you took the snap off the reins good idea. Metal snaps on the bit are awful!!

I thought that was a ride-n-tie bridle in the first pic. If not, what is the difference? And why is it a good idea to take the snaps off the bridle?

The difference is that the Ride N Tie has a halter built in so you don't have to tie the horse by the reins and bit. The bit can be taken off quickly kinda like a western head stall. Some people say that the snaps rattle around to much on the bit causing discomfort to the horse. I never noticed a difference though.

It's very nice and nothing like most trail bridles. The two pieces go together so smoothly and lay nice against the horse. I love the bit hanger. Attachment: Ride n tie1.jpg (Downloaded 136 times)

The rattling of the bit doesn't cause discomfort in the mouth just a vibration. Put your bit in the palm of your hand and close your hand over the bit not tight but enough like your horses mouth then have some one rattle your reins you can feel the vibration. Now remember your hand is tougher than your horses mouth.
