Ordered my ICB today! Can't wait for it to get here! I've been re-reading all the articles and threads about it. I plan to go camping @ Barren Fork or BSF the weekend after this one...Will a week be enough time to aclimate to the new bit?

It should. Some horses take to it immediately, while some need a little more time. You'll know once you've tried it. It doesn't take long for the horse to accept the bit and comply to the requests of the rider. Go through the transitioning, as I'm sure you've read, to be sure you and your horse are in good communication before the trail ride. I don't think you'll have any problems.
