This afternoon while riding Camryn (Haflinger) at my neighbors one of the girls (Anna) with a TWH showed up to check on her horse.  While there, my neighbor (Danette) let Anna ride her SSH for a bit.  As Danette was just standing there, I offered to let her ride my couch (that's Cam).  As soon as Danette's bum hit the saddle she commented on how comfy it is.  As she dismounted she suggested Anna give it a try.  So, Anna hopped on Cam and fell in love with it as well.  Anna told Lori who rides and Arab that she had to sit in my sadde too!!!  Up went Lori who now doesn't just want to steal my boots she wants my saddle as well.  I told them all to check out NBC since mine isn't for sale.

Oh, they all enjoyed my Cam girl too but, my 4-beat was what they all ended up raving about.

I'm glad you are enjoying your saddle and you've got everyone around you trying it and wanting it! It was the same way for me when I rode Mt. Rogers last year. Everyone wanted to see and sit upon. You just can't help but to allow them a try. :D

YEE HAW! I think I'd like to ride your couch, too. r1

She's awesome, I've found very little bothers her and when it does it's a spook in place.  She's got a great personality and temperment. Only problem is she has sweet itch pretty badly.  Poor girl, even all itchy she's a darling.  Been researching sweet itch rugs for her.  I still need to get some pix of her all tacked up in her Imus gear.

I can't wait until we get together at SF next year, so I can try out the saddles everyone is raving over. I know I will love it as well. Also would love to try someone's gaited horse as well, since I most likely will be riding a Quarter horse, so I will probably be riding out with others that trot or those that just want to walk, lol. I am afraid I am gaitless at moment.

Slipslider - I love to have people ride our 2 horses and would love for you to ride them both (I love watching someone else ride them too).  We have Domino who has that flatwalk head nodding gait and Lacey who is a racker...so different, but both smooth.  Both very well behaved.

We only have one Imus 4 Beat at the moment, but since getting it and trying it on both of our horses, I have made the decision to look for or save up for a 2nd Imus 4 Beat.  They really are that good (for the horse) and that comfy for the rider!

I am hoping there will be a lot of "swapping around" at the SF ride, which we are looking forward to so much.

Thanks Karen that would be great! I hope no one thinks I want to take off trail riding their horse, although that would be great as well, lol. I just meant to try it out, in arena if one is there or something like that. Not out of sight of owner.  I know some people are leary of others riding their horses for many reasons, and well I understand. But I don't mind people that I know riding mine and I am confident are gentle and can handle a horse. I have ridden and shown walkers and rackers and love there gaits. Hope there will be someone there that would not mind me trying out others as well, such as Paso's, Icelandic. But if not it will be fun just to see and watch as well. And to get to know others on this board. But if everyone else is riding in that nice GOG saddle I might not be able to last as long.

I wouldn't mind seeing what a smooth gaiter feels like.  My Casey isn't so smooth and DH says that is why my back hurts.  I did take a ride on a friends Paso, and he was very smooth.  Maybe we can have a "try out session".

Slipslider, I ride with my husband on a Paint horse and he out walks us, so not everyone will be fast.  I don't want to ride with those that  hit the trail hard because my horse would really be excited.

Yeah, Slip, I don't like to ride fast either.  I do like to do some gaiting when the terrain allows for it, but I'm not one of those riders who hits the trail running and keeps it up.   Like to mosey along, visit, look at scenery.  Also, my horse isn't in that great a shape now and probably won't be at East Fork either, so he can't keep up a fast pace.  He starts out at fast walk, but does slow it down and can go QH speed with no problem.    By the way, there is a very nice arena at East Fork.  I'm camped next to Pam so maybe we can all get together.  I'm heading up there alone not knowing anyone and would feel a lot better if I knew I had some folks to ride with.

I want know until closer to time if I will be going alone or not. Don't want to takeover this thread, so I guess I should be posting to South Fork thread. But I will be there if at possible and will look forward to meeting and riding with you all. OOPS East Fork isn't it. Guess I am thinking of Dallas, lol.
