I know we are supposed to use the fit my horse link, but every time I try to submit my photos the page goes blank.  So, I was hoping to get some help here.

That's one good looking horse. I'll see what I can do to help you by forwarding this topic to Jake. If you don't hear from him, call him. His number is on the homepage.

Thanks Whatta, Brenda responded to me (promptly).  I appreciate you forwarded the message on though.  I visit the message board frequently and love how helpful every one is.  After all the great things I have read on the board about the 4 beat saddle I cant wait to get one of my own.  I think the saddle I have now is pinching my poor guy.  Thanks again!  Susie

Here's waymore with his current saddle:

Looks as broad in the back as my girl. Did they recommend the wide tree?

Yes, he will need a wide tree.  I suspected he would, but I thought I should check to make sure.

He is one very pretty boy.  Love his black legs.  Hope you get your new saddle soon, you both will be much more comfortable.

I love the matched set of back legs, too. His coloring is very elegant or royal. In other words, he looks like one classy dude. tu1

Did you order Black? I think black would look fantastic.

I haven't ordered one yet, but I plan to order one soon.  Im glad you think black would look good.  My husband and I have been debating over this.  I think black would look grrrrrrrrrrreat......he thinks brown is best.

I have a brown one and I love my saddle. The leather has only gotten better with time. Brown is never a bad choice either.

Black would definately work best with his color, friend of mine has a Blue Roan, and got a brown saddle. It looked so "weird" on her horse, she sent it back and got the black one. OMG it is beautiful on her horse.

But, then..I'm ordering a brown one when I get mine..Sunny's a reddish brown color though, and chestnut/peacon colors look stunning on her.

You probably need a breast collar to help keep the saddle in place - he is a very round boy!  A saddle pad (like my 4-Beat pad) with a waffle neoprene surface will also help keep things anchored more firmly.

I do use a breast collar, but maybe I need to tighten it up more.  I have used a tacky type pad and it didn't seem to help.  My husband has an imus pad....I will give it a try.  Thanks.

What about adding a tail crupper.... this piece of tack attaches to the back of the saddle and has a leather ring that goes thro and under the tail.  We see a lot of QHs with rounder backs and less wither wearing these on mountain trails along with the breast plate it keeps the saddle in place between both ends going up or down steep hills.

He is a very handsome guy!!!!!!...love that coloring and I vote for black!  My husband got the black and it is stunning!  He gets compliments everywhere we go!

We both love our saddles!  Just came home from a 2.5 hr ride and though my butt was getting sore, it made it just fine!

Your horse has a nice back.  Is your only issue rolling or is there soreness?

I didn't notice any soreness last fall; I just started riding him again this spring, but I will check him for soreness over the next couple of rides.

Thanks for all the compliments.  I did get the black saddle and he looks great in it.  I will try to post some pics of him all decked out.
