Ok then. I've got a dream to go there myself sometime. I'm sure you are disappointed but glad you are well. tu1

If you had to have a year to cancel this was probably it. It was a total washout yesterday. We actually left yesterday am. I hope the weather got better for them but I don't think it was going to. Not to mention everything was flooded. The one day I was there was worth the 11 hours there and the 15 back. (The rain made it a much longer trip back). It was my first year. Top notch friendly people and wonderful animals. You feel part of the group right off. The campground was very nice and they did a great job with the food and amount of people. I did not get to ride since my gelding got sick the week before we left. My friends rode and were pleased with the trails. All I have to say is watching these horses on the videos and seeing them in person can not compare! The horses love it and the smiles on the riders faces make it very obvious how much fun they are having. Amazing the way those stallions behave. All I can say is you better make your reservations for next year. I did already. rsmoody

I'm on my way home right now. The rain did finally push out in time for the races/dinner/band. We didn't ride any Saturday, we drank some beers and played some cards instead, but we had a great ride Thursday and Friday. It was a little soggy this year and awful dusty last year, but oh well, that's part of it tu1

Glad to hear it finally pushed out of there. We never cut the wipers off the whole way home to VA. (The Virginia Beach area) It was heavy rain. Maybe next year it will be in the middle of the two years! rsmoody

My boyfriend and I got home yesterday afternoon and spent the better part of this morning and afternoon getting everything out of the trailer so that it can start drying. We trail rode Monday through Friday, got rained on several times, but it was a blast. It was a great group of people, absolutely beautiful scenery, very impressive horses. Apparently EFS is already filling up with reservations for next year's event, so if you're interested in going, call them soon!
