I've got it! Yeh! Got my fix last Saturday - probably the last until April when the Horse Expo happens.

OH Gosh, saw me all in that one! decreased regard for personal appearance, oh dear. I have to go to barn before work, so by the time i get to work, i no longer look presentable and i am sure that i carry a smell with me from time to time.

Actually i know i do! As i was went to work and soon realized i had forgotten to change out of my barn shoes!! I had to go in back and clean them with Clorox best i could and prayed boss would not notice!

We should have this posted as an entry way sign for all our un-horsey friends and family who don't understand us!

I'm glad you posted that information, Jake. You certainly cleared up the differences between HAD, and the dreaded HAD,NID disorder which has nothing to do with horses and is just completely sad in nature. I'm sure glad you are not suffering from that one. Whewww.

LaVonne, a solution would be to throw work shoes in your vehicle on the way to the barn, but not as much fun! Ha ha.

This reminds me of a fun morning riding with a friend and we had gotten sweaty, but wanted to stop and grab a sandwich, so went in a sort of nice restaurant. ( hoping not to see anyone we knew, right?). Well, while waiting for our order, a man in a suit and tie walks up and says, "Karen?", I look up and its a man who works with my husvand whom I haven't seen in a few years, but know well, and he hugs me! Yikes! I hate when that happens.

I used to wear makeup most of the time, but now rarely do, so tell my friends on those rare occasions, "you really are special, I put makeup on for you,". Horses!!!!!!

Oh Karen, it never fails, when we look our worst, that is always the time we run into someone we have not seen in awhile, happens to me all the time.

I don't drive a vehicle to the barn. Barn is right out my back door. If i had an extra pair, it would still be a good idea to keep in the vehicle.

But I have HAD, I am horse poor, lol.

I am still laughing to myself over and over, LaVonne, over you and Lynne at East Fork, then Brenda herself at the clinic...that is the funniest story! Tell it again here, though its on the EF thread, isn't it?

You are so cute!!!

Karen are you talking about the day I was there all worn out with helmet on, when Lynne arrived at the site. I of course introduced myself. Then Lynne, her friend and I went on a somewhat short trail ride before gathering with everyone at Brenda?s campsite. I had time to shower and put on some make up, and fix my hair. I walk up to the group and Lynne turns around, looks right at me and says, "Hi, I'm Lynne, who are you?
Not sure what you are talking about with Brenda specifically. Except she first saw me at the gathering that first nigh, with make up and looking decent. She never could figure out who i was after that, lol. As i had resorted back to helmet, helmet hair and no makeup.

Did not bother me a bit. I thought it was funny too!
