You are just kidding around right? 'Cause the wine tasting place is just down the road and you can buy bottles of wine there.

Alas, some rumors ARE true....

This is not a joke, sorry. Fentress county is DRY. The wine tasting place is there as a "local business entrepeneur" type situation.

Everyone needs to plan accordingly, bring plenty of 'supplies' , OR make plans to make a B-double E- double R- U-N into another county if the well runs dry.

Hey! - At least it isn't Kentucky, where there are laws against drinking and riding as well and drinking and driving.

I will bring a pot of venison chili, if we can heat it up on Brenda's stove.

Sounds like a plan!  We're planning to meet at our cabin around 6 p.m.  Jake and I have a two day trip, since we're swinging by NBS before heading to EF - about 20 hours of driving.  Hoping to arrive there by early afternoon, so we can scope out the joint, settle in, set up, and prepare to party!

Been a crazy few weeks, getting the WY horses ready to ship, and then making the rounds to 3 grandchildren's birthday parties - two of them up in OH.  Now we're trying to get squared up for the TN trip.  We're going to be ready to just kick back and relax. . .maybe with some good vino. . .

Just so happens I have an excellent merlot and a bottle of sweet white I've been saving for just such an occasion  I'd be willing to share....I am not much of a wine drinker (prefer good Irish whiskey) so when I open bottle most usually goes to waste..

Look forward to toasting your nuptials.......

Peg

I am for that! I am bringing two deserts and I think someone else mentioned bringing one, so hopefully that will do.

I too, have a bottle of blackberry wine, I will add to the mix.

I don't drink much either, but do enjoy a glass on occasion. The drink I really like is a margarita, but too much trouble to do that one.

Can't wait to party!!!

Don't worry, Slip!

I'll show you how to make a redneck margarita- same taste and effect with half the trouble. I'll also show interested parties the virtue of Carolan's Irish cream in a steaming mug of hot chocolate...

And if I can talk my Mom into it, I'll bring y'all some real hillbilly food- Pinto beans and cornbread- My mom makes the best. (Then we can show our horses how humans can fart!!!)

Peg
