Hi, Joyce,well I am new enough so I don't know alot about messageboard technical stuff but when you say someone will put a pic of your horse ( is his name really Batman?? I like that ) on your site, do you mean on this Gaits of Gold Messageboard or somewhere else? Anyhow, am I to understand that there are two basic types of Walkers, like a tall lean Walker type and then a shorter, perhaps more compact type? What am I missing........what is the orange bandana all about? I am so out of it..to1

Vicki, Someone wrote to me saying they will try and get my pic of (yes his name is Batman) on my avatar. It has not happened yet though to my knowledge. I am not sure about different size Walkers, Batman is 15'3 hands and I can tell a little extra weight after a cold winter. But he os tall and wider than most horses but not a real beg difference. Actually, the name on his papers say "Blackman's Entertainment" but I sure was not comfortable with that name. I won't repeat what the seller said I should call him but, being a social worker for 20 years in the Cleveland area, I was not going to call him anything close to that so I picke Batman. I like it to, thanks. s1 But I want all of you to be able to see him so maybe today I will work on getting his pic up. Joyce

Hey Joyce!~ It was me - I was wondering why you had not used it - guess it is cause you did not see it. I put it on a thread so you could copy it to your pictures and use it. I was just surfing around trying to see how you guys put your little quotations on your post. I still don't know how. But anyways I looked at the pictures of Trail Blazer when she posted back in 07'. They are breathtaking, just what some of us dream the western states are like. Will probably never get any further west than western Ohio, but it is great to be able to communicate with horse people on this mb who actually lives there. We have great riding and camping places here in Ohio, and people from all over come to them. But not the sights some of you guys have. Keep the pictures posted so we can take a "virtual" riding vacation! Pam

Are those pictures still around? I have a terrible headache today and cannot seem to think at all but would love it if you could direct me back to those pictures because when my computer crashed last winter, I lost all that stuff. I thought I had it on a DVD and loaned it to someone but it is gone, gone, gone and I may never get to pack in the mountains like that anymore due to circumstances. When I get these headaches, I cannot problem solve at all so if you can help me find that area where I posted those pictures I would be so delighted!! Thanks, vicki

If you go back to the top of this thread to Whatta's post they are there. I just looked at them too. Beautiful country. I visited your state when I was 16, I'm not saying how many years ago that was, but I remember how different from home. I'm from Iowa, mostly flat. Welcome back. Hope to see you more.

Thank you!!! I am delighted that some of my pics were rescued! Thank you for welcoming me back too. I will be on whenever someone replies to me but other than that, probably not too much. Am not real well and it has come to just trying to survive and figure out how to keep our humble home. miss you all though, this is a great site.

Thanks, I appreciate that. It is complicated and I don't think I have the energy for it now. I SHOULD sell my husbands horse but it seems like so much work right now. If I have only Kooter, it will help a little bit. We already sold the other horses last spring and summer. I will talk to Mike tonight about a realistic price for his horse ( people are giving them away left and right here as they cannot feed them anymore, or really nice horses are priced very low ), and maybe get to it before the economy worsens too much more. Thanks for the support. v
