Crys acted confident and alert. Wasn't afraid to lead, or to follow. I anticipated a possible spook when passing a long pipe on the side of the trail - she chose to walk over and investigate it. We went on a long uphill. No problem. On the downhill return she instinctively brought her hind legs underneath herself for a nice balanced ride. She startled once at a creek that came up beside us after coming around a bend - just a little jump in place, then she moved right back on out. Didn't ask for any gait, but her walk was very active and loose, and she never tried to rush after gaining site of her pasture and 'homies.' We were out for about 45 minutes, and had to navigate around equipment and workmen when leaving and coming back to the barn. No problem. In short: FANTASTIC! PB

That IS FANTASTIC for the newbie. Congrats. Sounds like you must have read alot of books, watched hours of some good video, and hired a great trainer. By now, you could probably write your own book about horses! Ever hear of Brenda Imus? I hear she's FANTASTIC, too. l1

Sounds like a fantastic first ride. Crystal should have the horses ready for a ride when i get home from work dont you just love the longer days ..... chris

Hi, PB Just came across this old thread and was wondering how Crystal was doing two years later. Did she put on the 3 more inches? I know sometimes apps tend to change colors. Do you have a new recent picture of her? I would love to see how she has grown.
