I went to the NBS website to see for myself and you are right they don't have a pic of anything but the tan. They are so helpful though, that I bet if you contact them they would take a snapshot of a green pad in stock and send it to your e-mail. Then you could see for yourself. If I wanted to sell product, I sure would do it. Give it a try.

I can't imagine that nobody on the messageboard has a current style hunter green 4Beat pad. Com'on post a pic somebody....

It would not let me post anything larger. I had to shrink them down to get them to load. Sorry.

Now Lakota, you just burst my bubble. I thought I had it all worked out. Back to the drawing board. I have been to the NBS web-site and have there catalog. I went to the GOG web-site and even e-mailed them to see if they could tell me where to find a picture. They replied that they had contacted NBS and there was no picture of the green. That's why I thought that I would give the message board a try. I really do appreciate all the help.

I would contact them in an e-mail or by phone You can also go to their website http://www.nationalbridleshop.com or Google them if it's not the right website, and I believe their catalog is on their web page.  Worth a try.

The pics GypsySusan has posted are of the old style pads that are no longer available. It is highly likely that the current offering from National Bridle is indeed a different shade of green.

If NB has any in stock of the green, I would contact them in an e-mail or by phone and ask them to take a pic. and e-mail it to you so you can see just what shade it will be. Hunter green is dark.

Thank you, she's my baby. I've raised her from birth and she has become a trail horse extraordinaire.

I'm leaning toward the green pad. Thanks to all who offered help.

I don't think you could go wrong with the green, or even the wine.  It is just a matter of your preference now.  The wine pad is less pink, more the tones of the Quote and Reply buttons to the right of each post.

Your girl is a very pretty sorrel!

Thanks so much for the picture. It helps a lot. I think that's a bright enough green to show up well on her.

I didn't get a photo tonight at the parade because we cover it with a black blanket. But, I found it on my youngest cremello from 3 years ago and it shows the color fantastically.

I am attaching a picture of Lexie with the 4B saddle and a hunter green towel laid on her back. Is this the color of the 4B pad?

We don't have any pics of the green pad available.  But it is a hunter green, and looks great on red/sorrel horses.

I'm getting ready to leave for work right now. If it's not stormy when I get home this evening I will get a picture of her with the new saddle. I'd love peoples opinions. I have had different colors of red (including a winish color) on her before and it's not horrible, but definitely not striking. I do agree that if the hunter green is a dark hunter it will probably not show too much. That's why I'd like to see a picture.

I do really like sage green. I'm not sure about the orange. I'd have to see it. Is it the one in the first picture that you posted?

I have a QH chestnut gelding now, and a dun, but had sorrels before, and also a black TWH gelding, who turns bay in summer... you have four choices in the IMUS pad currently, all solids: wine-red, green, black and tan.

I brought the wine pad for my TWH, it looks great.  It is a shade of wine-red that makes your saddle look deeper in its own dark oil tones, and brings out golden tones in sorrel and chestnut colors.  Personally, I found any shades of green to be too blending and not throw off any lights or tone from the horse's coat color.  The wine pad also looks smashing on my chestnut and my dun.  What I like about the pad's color is the material it puts off a flash-shine with its texture, and its color is not "flat".  Hence why I think this particular wine-red look good on most any color horse.

Tan is just not exciting enough, IMHO, unless your saddle is tan and you want a smooth look so your horse stands out on its own, a Palomino might be a good choice here for this pad.  Black always looks good, and you can add color to your gear with neck beads, mane feathers or ribbons for color standouts.

I looked at the available different color pads on different horses in Brenda's new book. That helped me narrow it down to the wine-red.

Post a full-size pic of your girl and we can all cast a vote :)

I think the green Navajo would look fabulous on her - the stripe in it is a russet orange.  But, the sage green one would also really pop on her.  I'll try to get that photo today.

My girl does not look particularly good in anything in the red family. She's almost solid sorrel with only a small star so I like to have some color on her. That really only leaves me with the green. I'd like to see what shade of green it is before I buy it, but have not been able to find anything with a picture other than tan. I wish they had a blue because she looks good in all shades of blue. There are some other pads that come in blue, but I have been so impressed with the comfort bit and 4B saddle that I feel I can't go wrong with the pad.

Those printed pads are no longer available. I'm sure you are asking to pictures of the solid colored tacky type pads that are sold thru national bridle. I have a wine one.

Green Anyone? Please share.
