I have friends that ride this.  Wish I could go, but home with our son. DH goes on the MTRA while I am home........so miss trail riding with my friends.....but my son comes first for me.   Maybe someday when our son is old enough to stay home by himself I can trail ride again.

It's started already, but people are still arriving.  Tonight is the western dinner and music.  They have an onsite farrier this year.  Justin Methner from Methner Horseshoeing Service.  Stop in to say hi if you plan on attending!  r1

It is Sept 17 to 21 this year.  They do different events, they have trail ride about 10 miles, it does follow dirt roads but there is a trail that goes to Dublin (the Jerky store).  They have barrel racing and other speed events, blessing of the horses and a parade.  They have had treasure hunts on horseback in the past too.  I haven't been for 4 years so I am not sure of the schedule.  I haven't heard back from the Oak Grove Tavern yet.( http://www.oakers.com)  They normally mail out a letter.  We started going in 1998 when the kids still liked horses and camping.  We always had a good time.

Just wondering is anyone is going to Irons in September.  It is their 25th year.  It used to be a lot of fun.  We haven't been in 4 years.  It is a 4 day event with different activities each day.
