I do not blanket either. My horses stays out all the time. I feed a mix feed with oats, corn alfelfa pelets and molasses, in the winter and also all the hay they can eat. Occ I may put a blanket on one if it is shiving from being wet and cold(they have a barn they can get into if they want). I will tie them up in the barn and go back in a few hours(or until they have dried and take it off and let them go.
