Hi, My name is Tina....and I'm a Horse Collector.... (**audience gasps and says in unison, "Hi Tina"**)

This affliction that I have can be somewhat addictive....anyone else here who just happens to have horses land on their doorstep?  It seems that I collect horses and bring them home regularly.  I have such a hard time with selling any of them.  At one point, I had 13 horses!  We only have 3 riders here...what was I thinking?!!

I'm currently in rehab for my horse collecting affliction and I'm now down to 6 horses.  My husband is very supportive of my rehab work.  I know I'll never be 'cured', but every day that I don't bring home another horse, is another successful day.

It's so hard to see the potential of every horse that I come across and not just snap it right up!

Do you collect horses too?  (**Tina pours coffee and passes donuts around to the group...**)

Tina

I am a horse collector! Of 6, only sold one (he was too good:P) - the others were lifers - 3 are still living, one is rideable (and sellable!)

But, there are 627,980 that I have not taken in or bought! Kinda like an alcoholic saying there is still beer to drink - So I am holding on to my paypal fingers and trying not to buy/take any more....

Now ask me about my tack....

I'm just getting into horseys but I am already thinking about how wonderful it would be to have one of every kind.:D  Just think about it.... I could have at least one of every gaiter out there-|- Wonder if I should get treatment before I have 10 horses? Nah...

If I could afford to be a horse collector, I wouldn't.

I like the one-at-a-time-please, relationships. This is why I had only one child. I am extremely dedicated and I find it hard to spread my resources too thin. My ONE horse gets everything she needs. Hubby's ONE horse gets everything she needs.

Then we have a horse that we keep for friends. Had I known we would have kept her all these years, I would have tried to become more attached to her. She's here and what she needs comes from her own family.

If I could afford more I'd probably have 4 or more. lol. I am already fantasizing about when I get my own place and am working at a REAL, well-paying job after I finish school... I'll have Bailey, a dressage and jumping horse (trotter... yes), and I REALLY want to get a Rocky or Paso someday.

got ya'll beat!!!  We have 17 horses::)!!!

12 of them are minis and we have 5 big horses.  4 of the big horses are rideable (one still very green broke---Tigger) and the other a yearling.

Talk about horse addiction.  But then, I step back and wonder what the heck my life would be like without them.  Sure isn't a very pretty picture.

Debbie

ahh! don't tempt me!! haha. I can't afford anything more right now.

Lol, it will probably be a god nother 5+ years before I can start thinking about getting more horses. I really want to save for a place and get my student loans paid off before I get more than 1 deep in my future herd of horses! lol.

I'll buy it if you pay its board, heh.

I could BUY horses... I just can't afford to KEEP more than one. lol. I think I'll have to save the minis for my future barn.

Unfourtunantly, [or so my wallet thinks]

I am a horse collector. In all honesty, i swear they appear on the front step, but I have the tendancy to have people dump their horses with me. I have 8 right now, and I've only actually choosen to buy one of them.

The other 7 were pitiful resecues that I could'nt turn downf1
