Tina, do not worry...I would not let that heavy footed Rocky deter me from loving the breed, I was just commenting that I was a little surprised when I rode him.  I have loved Rocky's from afar and was enamored with getting to ride one, that it suprised me.

And your comment about the Percheron being similar to the Clydesdale...alas...maybe so.  They just look like they are pracing and dancing on air...and my friends Percheron certainly doesn't!  I know all breeds can be way different.  I love them all, really I do!

Icelandic and Andalusion (sp?)

Oh....shoot....what I think would be an absolute hoot would be to have a horse from every gaited breed available to test drive one right after the other....... Than I would know for sure!

A speed racker most definitely!

I forgot to add my dream horse...a Friesian.

I would love to ride the fastest thoroughbred around the track.

I would love to ride the best barrel racer around the barrels.

I would love to ride a world class reining horse, spinning and sliding.

I would love to ride a big warm blood over fences.

I just love them all, but mostly I just want to ride my horse and enjoy some nice trails.

I have always wanted to ride a Friesian.

A friend of mine has a black Icy that looks very "Friesian-like". She was telling me she knows of an Icy that was a bit of a "freak" and grew to 15.1 hands, and of course, everyone thought it was a Friesian. But... the wonderful thing was it had that fabulous Icy gait; and a fast tolt.

So that sounds pretty good to me; a horse the looks like a Friesian, but moves and gaits like an Icy! :D

MountainHorse, I'm with you on that one ! I've been daydreaming about breeding Dancer to Rowdy Rawhide's Rocket for a long time now. Everytime I watch his video I get drool all over the keyboard.

Anything smooth and preferablly quick would suit me fine.
