Dear Friends, Below is a news release on the National Walking Horse Association's web site (http://www.nwha.com/news.html) regarding the lawsuit NWHA has been slapped with by TWHBEA. I've written TWHBEA requesting that they offer viable reasons for these suits, and offered the opinion that most people assume they're simply trying to put their smaller competitive organization out of business via an expensive lawsuit. I personally strongly suspect that IS their goal, but am willing to let them express their side of the story. I'm hoping we can help NWHA to turn the tables on TWHBEA by A) supporting NWHA's struggle in any way possible (start by joining!) and B) letting TWHBEA know this is an extremely poor public relations move. It would seem that TWHBEA might be careful, since the Equus article a month or two ago basically blew their doors down. . .this just might weaken their whole house. Brenda National Walking Horse Association Needs Your Support: The National Walking Horse Association (NWHA) has been sued in Federal Court in the Middle District of Tennessee by the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders & Exhibitors Association (TWHBEA) for Copyright and Trademark Infringement, Unfair Competition, Trademark Dilution, and Intentional Interference with Business Relations. Our mission is important, both to our horses and to our industry. We firmly believe the NWHA will prevail in this litigation. And to this goal, the NWHA will mount a vigorous defense.

Lets see how long this one stays up. WHy are you judging the TWHBEA for something they have evey right to do. You do not have any fact . let the process work and see how it turns out. Your group talk about the ways of others, I think you should take a god long look in the mirror. They may sue you for fraud and impersonating a horse trainer. Also you might also could be sued for copy right infringments also.. So I would suggest canning you opinions until it is finished in court.

Hmmm that is interesting. I don't know anything about the lawsuit nor do I want to, but personal attacks?? Come on! If you don't like what someone has to offer go elsewhere. Better yet start reading the articles and books Brenda has out. If you know anything you'll find out it is good information. At least what I have read is correct and better than that I've had great success with multiple twhs using her methods.

amazing2c, We on this board frown upon personal attacts, we also beleive in the humane treatment of our horses, and don't beleive in soring or inhumane gimmics to obtain a manufactured gait, Brenda's post was to let people know about the law suit and for the support of the NWHA if we so chose. If you don't agree with our philosophies thats fine, everyone has the right to their opinion, but please do not come on this board and start personal bashing, we do not appreciate it, there are other boards on the web that you can spout your opinion all day long.
