So happy for you!  It is great that she is much prettier then you thought.  How can that be??  But it sounds like you have a special horse.  I agree, just take your time to get to know her.

My husband is in LOOOVVVEE!

We've just been going out in the evening and schmoozing and razoring bots (they musta had a BUMPER crop in KY this year!).

He said tonite ' this is so pleasant. I dont think I've ever been around a horse this sweet and quiet!'

My old QH was purty near bombproof - but was pretty dominant and could be opinionated...Then I had a VERY alpha mare that I think intimidated him some....

I'm Jane, newbie on the board as of a couple of days ago. And I stumbled across the photo of your beautiful (!!) Shimmer. (Is she still keeping the name?) I've been prowling the Adams Horse and Mule site for a while and was wondering how your experience was with them. They're not too far from me as I'm also in Kentucky (but horseless-go figure!:t2 :) Where do you live? How are you coming along with her?

Jane

I'm in Texas....They were very nice to work with - kept her for a month for nothing 'cause of the fires down here and then transport issues.

She's been very, very good. Her only issue has been that she really doesn't like being alone - so she likes to holler if she gets in the trailer by herself. I took her on a short ride off property right after I got her and before knowing this. We didn't really go anywhere (I'm just now regaining my confidence!), but she was very good.

Gaits very smoothly.
