Hello all. I'm located in Ontario outside Toronto. I entered the wonderful world of the gaited two years ago when I bought my SSH just shipped up from Tennessee. She was selected for her lovely sane horsenality for trail riding in the forests. I knew nothing whatever about gaited horses. What a joy she's turned out to be!!

She's a little plump in the avatar. When I bought her she was skinny from foaling so I overdid the "love". She is just perfect sized now.

What brought me to the Brenda Imus website is the search to deal with her pacing. She already has a beautiful natural flat walk and running walk (hey, I'm learning the lingo!) so I just need to learn how to bring out the best in her. There are some really informative articles written by Brenda that I'm going to put to good use this fall.

Hi and welcome to the board from East TN!  I, too, have benefitted from the articles on the Home page here on GOG, as well as from Brenda's dvds and advice found here from experienced members.  Pacing is my gelding's  trouble as well.. but we are making steady progress using these techniques.

Your girl is lovely, if you happen to have any more pics we'd love to see 'em! And I hope we'll be seeing you around often.. :)

Welcome from Ohio.  I love your name and your horse looks very pretty.  Yes, please post some more pictures.  I too have a pacey SSH and I am always learning from Brenda's articles and all the posting from everybody's experience.  Hope you feel welcome here and join in often.

Hi!  Your mare looks alot like the one I had when I was a kid.  She was of unknown heritage but was the smoothest horse I ever ridden!

Welcome fellow Canadian! I miss living there, we used to live in Kleinburg N of the GTA. Lived in T.O. most of my life... Had a great place with 1,000 acres of Consveration land to ride in. We are now in N.C. and have trails here but weather is too too hot/humid in the summer!
This board is a great resource of info. Brendas articles are great, and a great place to get support when needed. You must be one of the only people around there with a gaited horse, as I'm sure you're in H/J country there, hopefully more people will get to know these great gaited horses.
:D
